WHAT DO WE DO WITH LLAMAS?

Alongwith the ever popular question "do they spit?" we are asked "what do we do with llamas".  At Wellspring Farm we use their fiber for felting and spun yarn, we hike with them, they help protect our sheep flock, we compete (for fun) in llama shows, we breed and train, we hold Open Houses so folks can get close to llamas, and in November of 2007, we were part of the Asheville Christmas parade.  On the Saturday before Thanksgiving Wellspring Farm, alongwith several other llama farms in the area participated for the first time in the christmas parade.  We dressed up our llamas with packs covered with ornaments, packages and toys, added tinsel to necks and feet!, and lots of bells.  The llamas greeted many a child personally and behaved like pros to an audience of 80,000.  So, that is what we do with llamas.
